Jim Hall-O-Ween II

Around this time last year, we had a few people out to DuPont to run a course we affectionately dubbed “Jim Hall-O-Ween” because Jim Hall set the course and well, we take our “O” punning very seriously.
We’re very proud to return this year for Part II (The ReckOning,) and hope you will join us for a day of navigating in the beautiful (and by then colorful) DuPont State Recreational Forest.
This event will be FREE (though donations are most appreciated) and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced courses will be available, and you can run multiple courses. As always, basic training in navigation is available for anyone who asks for help.
Required equipment – suitable hydration, compass (or smartphone compass app,) sense of adventure
Optional but strongly suggested equipment – GPS watch or smartphone tracking app — though not permitted for navigating on course, GPX tracks from a recording device can be added to our RouteGadget for post-race analysis/amusement
Optional equipment – emergency whistle for beginners, protective clothing, insect repellent, sense of humor
Attendance may be capped, so register early and watch this space for details.
