Our first-ever corn maze orienteering race was a huge hit, with 46 participants raising $460 for the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the charity for the 19th annual Cold Mountain Corn Maize. Thank you so much to our host, Skipper Russell, for letting us play in your corn maze!
We had AFROTC Cadets and repeat o-ffenders, the Addicotts, drive up from South Carolina. We had surprise walk-ups from the Jersey Shore. We had scouts obtaining their wood badge orienteering requirements (Brandon and Courtney finished all three courses!) We had the thrill of victory (Lily dominated, again) and the agony of defeat (several got the hard news that they missed punches on their course and had to do it all over again.)
